This award recognises a skilled and dedicated individual who delivers consistently and to a high level in their role, but who rarely gets the recognition they deserve. Judges will be looking for that person who is always ready to lend a helping hand, the glue that holds a team together, and who is always ready to go above and beyond to make an event a success.
This award recognises the importance of attracting new talent into our industry. The Best Newcomer award is open to individuals who have been in the events industry for less than three years and have been in full-time employment for less than five years.
This award singles out the best event director at an independent organiser working in the UK exhibition industry today. Judges are looking to reward one show director working across trade and/or consumer shows who has demonstrated outstanding achievement, creativity and professional growth during the qualification period. Key to success is the nominee’s ability to demonstrate excellence, innovation and leadership.
This award recognises the best new event in either the trade or consumer sphere launched by an independent organiser in the UK during the qualification period. The Best Launch celebrates innovative marketing, fresh new ideas and strong potential for future success and growth.
Whether in print, digital, outdoor or experiential (or a combination of all of these), a well-conceived, integrated marketing campaign is crucial to the success and perceptions of your business. This award explores the best brand-boosting campaigns during the qualification period. Judges will be looking for examples of work that display creativity and best marketing practice alongside proven measurable results against key campaign objectives.
A great feature area on the show floor can leave a lasting impression – not just on visitors but on exhibitors too, and to inspire other organisers and suppliers. This unique award acknowledges the collaborative nature of a successful feature, utilising the creativity of both the organising team and suppliers providing the desired solution. Organisers or suppliers can nominate themselves for this award and both parties will be recognised.
This award will recognise an independent organiser that has diversified its exhibition above and beyond its original brief into new territories, avenues or channels during the qualification period. The winner of the Best Brand Expansion award will have successfully replicated their brand either internationally or in the UK, launched sister or co-located events, or extended their exhibition brand into other media avenues and complementary commercial opportunities. Judges will be looking for excellence, innovation, commercial success and longevity.
The Best Consumer Show Award recognises one show that has met the consumer challenge by delivering a superb visitor experience, backed up by creative marketing initiatives, year-on-year success, a competitive edge, originality and commercial growth.
This category is open to any trade exhibition run by an independent organiser and held in the UK during the qualification period. Organisers will be assessed on their ability to meet show objectives, produce innovative content and marketing campaigns, record improvements in commercial performance, demonstrate visitor and exhibitor attendance growth and diversification, and the show’s longevity.
This award recognises that independent UK organisers are capable of putting on truly world-class international events. Judges will be looking for non-UK exhibitions which delivered on their promises to visitors and exhibitors, showed strong commercial performance and provided a unique experience.
This award highlights an organising team who have displayed superior efforts on one or more exhibition through hard work, a commitment to customer service, organisational and management skills, teamwork and resourcefulness, delivering an outstanding and successful event.
